Self Injury & how it can develop over time. There are many reasons that someone may self or harm self-injure. It can be as a way to feel our emotional pain physically, or we may do it as a way to express our anger. Some also do it to dissociate while others may do it as a way to show those around us how hurt we are. Whatever the reason, know that there are workbooks available to help you process through it and find other ways to express our emotions. I also hope that by creating these videos I can help other therapists understand SH and how to help those who suffer from it. Please leave your feedback below and let me know if you would like more videos about SH or SI!! Let's keep working together towards a Healthy Mind and a Healthy Body!! xoxo
